Liberia Finally Admitted to UN Tourism Organization
At long last, Liberia has finally been admitted to United Nations World Tourism Organization, a tourism delegation from the country’s Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICAT) in South Korea has confirmed.
Liberia is Africa’s oldest independent nation and it cannot be overemphasized that the West African nation contains significant portion of the continent’s heritage and history.
Additionally the country is blessed with six major rivers and its coastline is about 350 miles long.
The country is covered by countless screams, tributaries and wetlands in general.
Observers say Liberia could now make maximum of these potentials, and rapidly carry out development following years of civil unrest.
Announcing the confirmation at a regular press briefing Thursday, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Cletus Sieh said the country was at the verge of touristic commercialism.
