Senator Findley To Empower Farmers

The President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Grand Bassa County Senior Senator Gbehzohngar M. Findley, has revealed plans to assist thousands of farmers in Grand Bassa County.

Senator Findley, who has already donated 1.4 million Liberian dollars to marketers in the county, said the farmers will also benefit from similar assistance.

The Senator made the disclosure recently in Gorblee, Compound # 3 where he was honored and certificated   by a youth group in the area. The group under the banner of Gorblee Youth for Development said it had honored the Senator in appreciation of his numerous contributions to the development of young people in the area and the county as a whole.

In response, Senator Findley challenged the youths of Grand Bassa to get actively   involved in the development initiatives of the county, stressing that “the growth and development of Grand Bassa squarely depends on the young people.”

Senator Findley assured the group that he will continue to contribute to the development of Grand Bassa County and protect the interest of its people despite criticisms from people he referred to as detractors.

However, Senator Findley told the gathering of citizens that the ultimate solution to the development needs of the county rests on the residents.

“We all have to work together to bring growth and development to our county and to also bring relief to our people,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Senator Findley has pledged to work along with the citizens to construct a radio station and a modern sports stadium in Gorblee for the people of the district.
