Following a violent protest by locals in Yekepa which led to destruction and looting at ArcelorMittal facilities, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf sent a special delegation to meet with the management and staff of the mining company to re-assure them of a secured working environment and of the GoL's unchanging support.

ArcelorMittal Liberia, having suffered material, physical and psychological losses, resumed operations over the weekend as a result of a fruitful meeting with the government's delegation. See what happened during this very important meeting in Yekepa, Nimba County, Northern Liberia.
