VOINJAMA, July16 (LINA) - Lofa County Superintendent George Dunor has said the local media in Lofa County remains a key partners in the development of the county.
According to the Liberia News Agency, Superintendent Dunor said the media has been immensely contributing towards the awareness campaign on the preventive measures of the Ebola virus as well as promoting peace, reconciliation and development in the county.
Speaking at a press conference held at his administration building office in Voinjama Tuesday, Dunor lauded the efforts of the media and pledged that his leadership will work closely with the media for the growth and development of the county.
Meanwhile, in a bid to help empower the media to create awareness on the Ebola virus, Mr. Dunor has on behalf of the County administration presented an amount of L$50,000 to media institutions operating in the County.
During the presentation ceremony Tuesday, Radio Kintoma Program Director, Tokpa Tarnue, on behalf of media institutions in Lofa County, thanked the County Administration for the gesture and promised that the amount would be used for its intended purpose.
Mr. Torkpa has at the same time pledged the media continuous support to development activities in the county.
