The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Grand Bassa detachment has arrested several drug dealers and users in Buchanan City and its environs in Grand Bassa County. The arrests were made on Tuesday with the collaboration of the five Magisterial Courts in Grand Bassa County which issued the search and seizure permits.

The Grand Bassa County sub-office of the National Elections Commission (NEC) has extended the time for replacement of lost and damaged voter ID card to the end of July 2014. NEC County Magistrate David Logan told the Liberia News Agency that the extension stems from persistent appeals from citizens of the county to NEC.
